Powerlock International has begun shipping its Wheel Safe electronic wireless security system for custom wheels.

The Powerlock system utilizes a wireless sensor on each wheel and hub. If the wheel is removed from the hub, a signal is triggered sounding the vehicle’s horn. A dashboard mounted status display indicator gives current status of all wheel sensors. Wheel Safe passively arms when the ignition is turned off. Each sensor “checks in” with the control module every 24 hours to confirm positive operational status.

If a wheel is removed without proper authorization, the system is triggered and the vehicle's horn sounds an audible alert. Wheel Safe can accommodate cell phone notification as well.

The system has a "valet" mode for tire rotations and a “learn” mode for enrolling a fifth wheel sensor or rotating sensor locations.
